Student politics

Pakistan is a developing country but unfortunately the importance of education in our country cannot be overlooked. The illiteracy rate is increasing day by day.

This is the curse of our society that 70 percent of our population is illiterate. The condition of the government schools is vulnerable with most of them being ghost schools, that’s why the students are deprived of even primary education. Our education system is out of date. Students turning out every year from our institutions are not up to mark. Students emphasise on rote learning, they don’t have thirst for knowledge.

The most important point is that the government should take action to free all the educational institutions from the political power. Because of political influence, clashes take place among parties every other day in the educational institutes. There is a lot of political indulgence in the Karachi University due to which students have to suffer. Thus, the whole system of education has to undergo a drastic change. The government should take strong action to improve the standard of education.
