New Jinnah Abadies have been established in 18 villages of district Sahiwal where poor people are provided with free of cost five-marla plots on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif. District Coordination Officer (DCO) Waqas Ali Mahmood said this in a meeting held in his office to review the progress of this project while members of national and provincial assemblies and officers concerned attended the meeting.
He said that 1,158 plots had been allotted so far while remaining plots would be allotted through transparent manner and public representatives would also be involved in this process for identification of deserving people. He further said that 752 plots were allotted in 10 villages of tehsil Sahiwal while 406 plots were given to poor people of eight villages of tehsil Chichawatni.
