Fauzia Wahab, chairperson of National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Finance, has said that there is no possibility of pay raise in the next fiscal budget.
“When there is no income for the government, how could it raise salaries,” she remarked.
Earlier, the Ministry of Finance briefed the finance committee about the next budget plan.
Following the briefing, Ms. Wahab told newsmen that that target of tax collections has been recommended at Rs.1950 billion.
She said that the government would collect taxes from 750, 000 with lavish lifestyles.
She further said that the committee has proposed an imposition of gross asset tax in place of turn over tax.

  1. Please consider 100% increase in salaries of Government employees keeping in view inflation. Moreover it will be another life line for poor and honest government servants.

  2. At least increase 100 % salaries of such departments, those salaries were not increased in last Budget…Such as Rescue 1122.
