Legislators from the provincial assembly opposition benches, on Thursday, while terming the “No Confidence Motion” against Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif, a constitutional right said seeking change in the govt was their right if bad governance continued.
PPP backed opposition leader in the PA Raja Riaz said after the PML-Q and PPP alliance, PML-N govt had no justification to retain power and added that the government should resign as it had lost support of the majority in the house. He said Shahbaz government was depending on the support of the Unification Bloc which was in fact based on the policy of adhocism.
He said these were “temporary measures” which would not last long.
MPA and PPP’s Lahore women wing President Faiza Malik said they reserved the right to change the PML-N led government if bad governance continued. She said people would reject PML-N it in the next elections and hoped the PPP would re-gain government in the next general elections.
