Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered a judicial inquiry into the incident at Gujjar Khan and posting of the SP concerned as OSD. He was presiding over a meeting to review Gujjar Khan incident on Thursday. The CM directed the administration to wisely manage protests against load-shedding and advised the protestors to be patience.
He directed the formation of a committee headed by Member National Assembly Pervaiz Malik, comprising elected representatives and representatives of administration, Chamber of Commerce, WAPDA and concerned institutions to formulate recommendations to check recurrence of such incidents.
