University of Karachi should be renamed as University for Terrorism as there is a constant violence and aggression by the different student political wings. The students face immense difficulties in carrying out the educational activities in this environment. The students are forced to stay at home due to the critical situation of the university and wait until everything gets back to normal after severe clashes between two or more political wings of the students. This is one of the main reasons why the attendance of the students is less.
The students of the political parties should understand that this is the age of gaining educational knowledge. They should be studying for their degrees. After completing their education, they have the liberty be part of any political party but as students we are the future of Pakistan and if we are going to spend our time on fighting instead of getting educated, then the future of Pakistan will obviously be not bright.
I would like to request the student council and administration of Karachi University to take steps to stop aggressive, destructive and violent behaviour of students and ensure peaceful and positive learning environment for the students. The concerned authorities should also make the students sign a memo at the time of admission that they will not indulge in any violent activity, and if they are found strict actions like expelling them from university should be taken to develop a code of discipline and example for other students.
