Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran presided over the prize distribution ceremony of annual sports of Oriental College held in the college’s Sherani Hall and inaugurated Day Care Centre at the college on Wednesday. Abdul Qadir, a renowned test cricketer, was the chief guest while the college’s principal Prof Dr Mazhar Moeen, Prof Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar, Prof Dr Kh. M Zakriya, faculty members and a large number of students were also present on the occasion. Abdul Qadir said the educated youth could lead in the playgrounds as well. He asked the senior players to retire and give young players a chance. Prof Dr Mazhar Moeen briefed the audience about the academic, literary and extra-curricular activities of the college. Prizes were awarded to the winners. Kashif Sultan and Fareeha Cheema were declared the best athletes.
MEHFIL-E-MUSHAIRA AT PU TODAY: Punjab University Student Teacher Centre (STC) will organise Mehfil-e-Mushaira on Thursday at 10:30 am in the Punjab University New Campus’s Faisal Auditorium.
PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran will preside over the function, while National Language Authority Chairman Iftikhar Arif will be chief guest.
