Man burnt to death in land dispute

Rahil, 25, a resident of Sottar Mohalla, succumbed to his burn wounds in Mayo Hospital on Wednesday as he was admitted there when his neighbours set him on fire over a land dispute in Manawan police area a few days ago. Police said that the victim ran a scrap business in his locality and confirmed he was burnt by his neighbours who quarreled with him over a land dispute a few days back. Police registered a murder case against two accused Manzoor Hussain and his wife. Police removed the body to the city morgue while further investigations are underway.
Mysteriously dead: Tariq Majid, 40, a resident of Iqbal Town, was found dead under mysterious circumstances from a car (LZM-8755) from Racecourse Gate No 2 on Wednesday. Police said that Tariq had been was missing from his house since 5 pm yesterday (Tuesday) and had not returned. Police said locals spotted a stationary car inside the Racecourse ground in which they found Tariq’s dead. Police reached the spot and removed the body to morgue for autopsy.
A case was registered against unidentified people under section 302 and 337 of PPC on the complaint of the victim’s brother Zeeshan. Police officials claimed Tariq died of heart attack.
BODY FOUND: A 50-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances from a park near Lahore Railway Station in Naulakha police area on Wednesday.
The deceased, yet to be identified, was found dead lying beside a road near the park. Locals spotted the body and informed police. Police reached the spot and removed the body to city morgue. Police officials were of the view that the victim was a drug addict and died due to an overdose. Police made several announcements in local mosques but no one came forward to claim the body after which police removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and started investigating the matter.
