Ismail Rauf of PAF created another upset after defeating second seed Marwan Khan in the semi-final of the Chief of Air Staff Junior Squash Championship to reach final. The Championship is being played here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex. Ismail Rauf, who recently defeated top seed Ahsan Ayaz of PAF in the Under-13 category of the Punjab Junior Open, came back again after two sets down against Marwan Khan of PAF in the five-set battle that lasted for 59 minutes.
Ismail will clash against his rival Ahsan, who also reached the final after a semi-final victory against Kashif Asif of Punjab in straight sets. Ismail Rauf went down against his rival Marwan Khan when he got two consecutive sets by 9-11, 10-12 but came back quickly and won three consecutive sets by 11-9, 12-10 and 11-8 to seal the match.
In the second semi-final top seed Ahsan Ayaz of PAF defeated Kashif Asif of PAF 18-16, 11-5, 11-9. It was the first set where both Ahsan and Kashif stretched to 18-16 by locking the set at 5-5, 6-6, 7-7, 9-9, 10-10, 11-11, 12-12, 13-13, 14-14, and 16-16.
