Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) nexus aims at entering power corridors in Punjab by toppling the Shahbaz Sharif government but the Unification Bloc will not let the opportunists play their dirty game. PML-Q’s dissident group senior leader Atta Manika said this in a press conference called at his residence here on Tuesday.
He further said the bloc had no objection over the marriage of the parties once declaring each other ‘murderer’ but he added that it was evident that the alliance was not to serve the masses. He said the PML-Q had insulted its voting mandate by consenting to join the government.
He added that both PPP and PML-Q wanted to declare the bloc’s MPs disqualified with the connivance of the chief election commissioner but they would face the conspiracy with full strength. He said the bloc had decided to support Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the larger interest of masses and would continue supporting Shahbaz Sharif.
