LDA dismisses clerk for indiscipline

Lahore Development Authority (LDA), on Tuesday, dismissed junior clerk Abdul Naeem from service under Punjab Employees Efficiency Discipline and Accountability Act, 2006. Naeem was proven guilty of the misplacement of the original file JT/AP/1181-F in order to cover up bogus exchange proceedings and for preparing a duplicate file without having certified copies of the documents and fulfilment of codal formalities.
Naeem was granted an opportunity of personal hearing by the department but he failed to defend himself and confessed before the authority of processing the duplicate file.
Against this backdrop and examination of the case in detail, LDA Administration Director Shahid Farid imposed a penalty of dismissal from service upon the Naeem under the section 4(b) (VI) of the Punjab Employees Efficiency Discipline and Accountability Act, 2006. LDA staff proceeds to Hajj: Six LDA employees including two LDA officials and other sponsors were selected to proceed to Hajj this year, through balloting on Tuesday.
LDA generates Rs 173.5 million revenue: Lahore Development Authority (LDA)’s Recovery Directorate collected Rs 173.5 million during the past month of April on account of annual and permanent commercialization fee from various areas of the provincial metropolis.
