Gun pointing

It has been observed that army soldiers patrolling in vehicles in Lahore Cantt and Walton often travel with their guns lying in their laps with the barrels pointing towards sides thus endangering the road users. These soldiers ought to be educated so as not to point their gun barrels towards passing cars as it is a cardinal principle of army training not pointing a gun barrel even in joke towards a person unless towards an enemy.

During a bomb blast in R A Bazaar area such a gun fired due to blast killing and wounding many people as reported. The soldiers ought to be told strictly to keep the barrels of their loaded guns skywards while travelling in a vehicle to avoid unintended accidents that can result in causalities of passengers on the road.
