Faisalabad rout Quetta, Lahore suffer first defeat

Faisalabad hammered Quetta 17-0 while Lahore lost their first match against Multan 2-0 during the 3rd PHF Junior Super Hockey League being played here at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore. Sialkot and Karachi also won their matches.
On Monday, another four matches were played in which Faisalabad unleashed a fury of goals against Quetta, who failed to score a single goal. The first goal of the match came in the second minute and Faisalabad kept on scoring at regular intervals until the last goal was hit in the 67th minute.
The day started with a win for Sialkot, who edged Peshawar 8-4. However, Lahore the leader of the points table, suffered their first defeat as Multan’s Osama and Hafiz Zohaib scored a goal each in the first half. Multan defended their two-goal lead by keeping Lahore forwards at bay until the final whistle. In the last match of the day, Karachi were stretched to the limit for a 2-1 win against PHF Academy.
Akhtar Rasool Chaudhry, Olympian & ex-captain Pakistan hockey team, was the chief guest during the fourth and final match of the day. Today is the rest day.
