Worried Shahbaz calls Nawaz for advice

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif consulted and sought guidance from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on the phone about how to proceed following the alliance between the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the PML-Quaid (PML-Q).
According to sources, Nawaz advised Shahbaz to intensify consultations with PML-N leaders and increase meetings with the members of the Unification Bloc, following which the CM invited Unification Bloc leaders Ata Maneka and Dr Tahir Ali for a meeting. PML-N leaders Chaudhry Nisar, Ishaq Dar and Khawaja Asif were also being informed about the consultation process with Shahbaz, said the sources.
The sources said the CM had received information about a plan being made to destabilise the Punjab government after the new alliance in the federal government, after which Shahbaz had intensified the consultation process and increased meetings with his close aides. Reportedly, Nawaz is set to return to the country soon after permission to travel from his doctors.
