The military authorities have expressed reservations over housing detained Ch Moonis Elahi, the Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader and punjab Assembly member, in cantonment area of Lahore, reported a private TV channel on Sunday.
The TV channel while quoting sources said a letter had been sent to the Punjab government, stating that the residents were critical of housing a civilian accused in the Cantt area. The sources also said that it was illegal to confine a civilian accused in the area managed by the military. It is said that preparations are underway to shift Moonis to a prison.
