The Punjab government on Monday appointed Justice (r) Nazir Akhtar as chairman (non official member) of the Board of Management of the Allama Iqbal Medical College and Jinnah Hospital, Lahore with immediate effect. His appointment is according to Section 6 of the Punjab Medical and Health Institution Act 2003.
