CM takes notice of police inaction on Pakistan Today’s report

Daska citizens thanked Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif who took notice of the story published in Pakistan Today on April 26 on the increasing crime and asked the district police officer (DPO) to report within one week. The story detailed that Daska citizens felt insecure as the city and its suburbs were totally in the grip of robbers, dacoits and thieves nowadays.
It stated that in last five weeks, 26 dacoities and 40 thefts were reported while none of them was traced by the local police. It further stated that the dacoits took away Rs 1.255 million, eight motorcycles, dozens of mobiles and gold ornaments while thieves deprived people of Rs 556,000, seven motorcycles, two cars, 15 buffaloes and goats, gold ornaments and other valuables.
It added that citizens expressed concern over the rising dacoity, robbery and theft incidents in Daska and demanded the CM take effective measures for making Daska a peaceful city. The chief minister took the notice and asked Sialkot DPO Bilal Siddiq Kamyana to submit a report to him within one week. People from all walks of life thanked the CM and said that he was working hard to settle the things without caring for his health.
