In order to improve standard of education in the federal capital, the government has decided to upgrade 50 federal government model junior schools of Islamabad Capital Territory.
A senior official of Capital Administrative and Development Division (CAAD) told Pakistan Today on Saturday that in line with the announcement made by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, it had been decided that during the current year 50 junior model schools of ICT would be upgraded. He added all 418 institutions would be elevated to the high standards in three years.
Meanwhile, another official of CAAD said 100 more institutions would be upgraded next year and the remaining in 2013. Under the plan, scientific equipment, furniture and additional staff would be provided to the upgraded schools, he added.
Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, addressing teachers at a function, announced that all ICT educational institutions would be upgraded to model schools and colleges.
