International Chicago Labour Confederation (ICLC) Pakistan chapter Chairman Dr Azam Arain has announced to establish a Labour Hospital with the cooperation of local bodies government of Chicago. He made this announcement while addressing an annual moot held to pay tribute to the martyred of Chicago here on Sunday.
He said this hospital would be constructed on the land of Pakistan railway. A committee consisting of a PCS officer, a doctor and an engineer is being constituted to look after the affairs of the proposed Labour hospital. The chairman informed that a plan to set up a Labour College was under consideration with City Government of Berlin, Germany. Both the projects will be completed in three years at a cost of Rs.470 million.
In his speech he stressed the need to bring labour revolution to solve the challenges confronted by the country. He urged the federal government to fix salary of a labourer at least Rs.15,000 per month. President PCS Officers Association Rai Manzoor Hussain Nasir, YDA representative Hamid Mukhtiar Butt, Advisor ICIC Capt (r) Muddassir and other office bearers of the Chicago Confederation were also present on the occasion.
