Italian Roberta Vinci outlasted Czech Lucie Hradecka to capture her second Barcelona Open title in Saturday’s final. For the second straight match, Vinci dropped the opening set before rallying for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 triumph at this clay-court event. The sixth-seeded Vinci battled back to beat Spanish crowd favorite Laura Pous-Tio, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4), in Friday’s semifinal. Vinci appeared in her third consecutive Barcelona Open final. The 28-year-old lost to fellow Italian Francesca Schiavone in last year’s championship match and was the titlist in 2009. With her victory on Saturday, Vinci improved to 14-1 lifetime at this event and 4-1 in finals for her career. Hradecka, meanwhile, fell to 0-4 in career WTA finals.
