Sindh Education and Literacy Department has decided to establish book banks in all government colleges in the province with the chief minister’s approval. Under the policy framed for this move, textbooks will be the property of the respective book bank in a college. Students will be bound to return the textbooks to the administration of the college at the end of the academic session and admit cards will be issued to the students only after they return the textbooks. Textbooks will be issued for the session by the administration to the students of XI and XII classes on a loan basis with nominal security charges i.e. five percent of the price of the textbooks. This will be returned when the students return the books in an acceptable shape. Damaged books might be replaced by the college administration after a minimum period of three years.
