The Unicorn Gallery recently hosted an exhibition of paintings by Mona Naqsh, one of Pakistan’s leading painters and the daughter of legendary master artist Jamil Naqsh.
The exhibition titled ‘Silent Sermon’ featured a wide variety of Mona’s paintings and drawings of floral still-life inspired from Turkish art and various other international influences.
The exhibition also provided the opportunity to be retrospective as a book on the life of the artist titled ‘Mona’ was launched as well.
It was written by Seemah Niaz with articles contributed by Marjorie Husain, Mohsin Jaffri and Salwat Ali among many others.
The book is spectacular with over 200 pages featuring Mona’s stunning compositions from her first exhibition in the 80s to present day and her evolution as an artist.
Similar to the book on the artist, the exhibition also extensively featured her career spanning over 25 years.
