World Labour Day or May Day will be observed today (Sunday) worldwide. Various events will take place in the city to pay tribute to workers. The National Trade Union Federation will organise the main May Day procession from Shimla Hill to the Charing Cross. According to organisers, children and women will also participate in the procession. In his message on Labour Day, former bishop of Lahore, Reverend Dr Alexander John Malik commended the courage and struggle of Chicago labourers who raised their voice against injustice and violence.
