Debts of Pakistan have soared from $27bn to $59bn in two years. The war on terror has cost us more than $35 billion. If the democratically elected government tries to undo the wrongs done in the previous regimes, it appears as if IMF and other bilateral and multilateral financial institutions are intent upon twisting the arms of the federal government.
Moreover, some media groups are also playing in the foreign hands and doing their best to malign and discredit the present leadership of PPP which has guts to assert itself for the betterment of Pakistan. All political parties must discern what is written on the wall, ie, “support the government for making Pakistan strong and successful”.
