Lahore School of Economics’ (LSE) Chaar Payee won the Red Bull Tum Tum Pa National Finals held in Islamabad at Kuch Khaas. This talented group of four people will represent Pakistan at the World Finals in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil in June. Red Bull Tum Tum Pa, the first freestyle drumming competition for students, came to Pakistan in mid April where its qualifier events were held at top universities in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad.
Pre-hype ensured online registration by student groups for taking part in the qualifier events held on campus. Participants used their musical creativity to create rhythms and jams out of pens, pencils, rulers, scissors, erasers and anything else they could get their hands on in the classroom! Of the altogether 40 plus groups that participated, it came down to the top 7 which ultimately made it to the National Finals.
