A leading French manufacturer, dealing in industrial tools, has announced further developments in its expansion strategy by focusing on Pakistan. Verlinde France, a division of leading French manufacturer Verlinde has announced a further extension of its global territorial reach and its lifting equipment services into the untapped potential of Pakistan.
“This latest move to the sub-continent reflects Verlinde’s policy to offer its innovative products and services to the new markets opening up worldwide,” said a company announcement. Commenting on this latest move, Business Development Manager for Verlinde, Simon Rothechild, said “Expanding the Verlinde brand presence into Pakistan at this time is a significant move and comes at an exciting time for the development of our global business. Our team in Pakistan is already in place and now means the whole Pakistan territory has been opened up to Verlinde.
The Pakistan team will now focus on promoting the company and showcasing the wide range of services we can offer this expanding marketplace.” He added that exciting new contracts in Pakistan will be announced soon. Based in Lahore, the team in Pakistan is headed up by Verlinde’s Country Representative Shahid Akram, who together with his colleagues is now actively engaged in managing the company’s move into the country.
Shahid has been involved in the industry since 1992 and his experience and market knowledge is another asset to the company’s operation. “Verlinde’s move into Pakistan is great news for the company but it is also great news for Pakistan,” said Shahid when asked about the move. “This expansion shows that Verlinde has a great deal of confidence in the market over here and is also a reflection of the growing strength of the Pakistan economy which is fuelling demand for the products and services we can provide.”
Despite inflationary concerns, the Pakistan economy remains the 27th largest in the world and an increase in the influx of foreign companies like Verlinde, coupled with the country’s increasing access to global markets is spearheading a Pakistan success story. Rothechild added that companies like Verlinde can play a key role in supplying much needed cranes and lifting equipment which could prove vital for the new infrastructure being develop.
The French manufacturer will bring its considerable experience to bear while being able to supply the same equipment (including the explosion proof range) that customers in Pakistan are familiar with and the liaison office continues to have rapid access to genuine products.
