Endorsing the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh Executive Committee’s decision, the party’s Karachi chapter on Thursday decided to hold different programmes in connection with commemorating the current year as ‘Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Year’. PPP-Karachi Information Secretary Latif Mughal said that the decisions in this regard were taken at a meeting presided over by PPP-Karachi President Najmi Alam.
“On April 30, a seminar will be organised to remember the services of ZA Bhutto, where speakers, including politicians and intellectuals, will talk about the achievements of the founder of PPP,” he added. Moreover, the party will organise public meetings in all five districts (defunct) of the city besides wall chalking and display of banners, he added.
It was also decided at the meeting that the party’s Labour Bureau will organise a rally from the People’s Secretariat to the Karachi Press Club on the occasion of the Labour Day (May 1).
