Minister for Interior Rehman Malik said on Thursday the PPP leadership has always preferred to strengthen democracy in the country and efforts for evolving alliance of PPP with PML(Q) was part of such efforts.
Talking to reporters outside the Parliament, he said PPP leadership believes in dialogue and reconciliation and its good example is that different political parties are part of the government.
Replying to a question he said the two parties’ leadership would make final decision on making alliance.
To another question he said terrorists are targeting the Sindh and Balochistan to destabilise and bring bad name to the country. The government took serious action to prevent the attack on security forces buses, he said.
Malik also said that investigation regarding suicide attacks on buses in Karachi has been started and peace in the city is priority of the government. He further added that around 60 target killers have already been arrested in Karachi, and steps are being taken from the security forces to stop the terrorists who are entering Sindh from the Balochistan.
