The Hangu police on Wednesday arrested a man for allegedly desecrating the holy Quran. The accused allegedly burnt copies of the holy Quran in Kotli Bala, Hangu. According police sources, accused Saiful Malook is a resident of Kotki Bala and sustained bullet wounds when people fired at him while he was committing the crime. On receiving the information, the local police took the accused into custody to prevent the situation from getting out of hand. A case under 295 C has been registered.
