The Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Meeting (JCSC) was held here at the Joint Staff Headquarters, said a press statement issued here on Tuesday. Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman General Khalid Shameem Wynne presided over the meeting which was attended by Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Noman Bashir, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman.
Defence secretary, defence production secretary, director general joints, Inter Services Intelligence director general, Strategic Plans Division director general and senior military officers from the three services were also present in the meeting. “The meeting reviewed issues related to national security and threat perception, besides discussing the progress on the agenda of last meeting. JCSC is a quarterly moot of senior military leadership to access and evaluate the operational preparedness of the Armed Forces”, the statement said.
