P&T Gymkhana and Burewala won their respective matches of the eighth NBP All Punjab Cricket Tournament on Tuesday to qualify for the quarter-finals. P&T Gymkhana defeated Multan Greens by nine wickets, while Burewala beat Sahiwal by eight wickets. Multan scored 157 all out. Yasser Arafat (43), Ahmed (33) and Farman Perviaz (28) were the prominent batsmen.
P&T’s Wahid took three wickets for 35 while Ali Manzoor took two for 34. In reply, P&T Gym chased the target after losing only one wicket. Mohammad Saeed (59), Habibur Rehman (37) and Arsal (33) were the top scorers. In the other match, Sahiwal made 218 runs, with Munir Alam (38), Waqas Sharif (35) and Ahmed Raza (33) among the top scorers.
Mudassar grabbed four wickets for 40, while Salman Burki and Shahid shared 2 wickets each for Burewala. In response, Burewala achieved the score after losing two wickets. Ansar (109), Kashif Munawar (61) and Tanveer Dogar (40) led their team to victory.
