Pakistani girls down Sri Lanka

Pakistan women’s cricket team opened their campaign in the Women’s Quadrangular Series in Sri Lanka with a two-wicket win against the hosts at the at P Sara Oval, Colombo on Tuesday. On the other hand, Ireland defeated Holland in a thriller by one run. Hit by rain, the match was reduced to 27 overs a side. Pakistan’s bowlers bowled out Sri Lanka for 68 in 24.2 overs.
Qanita Jalil and Sana Mir took two wickets each while the other bowlers shared one wicket apiece. From Sri Lanka, it was only LE Kaushalya who reached the double figures. In reply, Pakistan top order crumbled before Marina Iqbal took things in her hands and stayed at the crease until the last ball. She scored 13 runs and remained not out.
