At least 25 acres standing wheat crop was burnt to ashes in village Pindiwal the other day. Reportedly, a tractor driver threw a burning cigarette in the fields while working near wheat fields. The cigarette caused fire which desroyed 25 acres wheat crop of Abdul Ghaffar, Haji Riaz and Rana Afzal. Rescue 1122 reached the spot, controlled the fire and saved the nearby wheat fileds.
DEJECTED LOVER ATTEMPTS SUICIDE: A youth tried to commit suicide when a girl’s parents in village Ghary Ghous did not accept his marriage proposal. Reportedly, 25-year-old Ahmad proposed a girl for marriage but her parents rejected the proposal on which he sprinkled kerosene oil on his body and set himself on fire. As a result, he was seriously injured and shifted to a hospital in Lahore in critical condition.
ELECTRIC WIRE STOLEN: Unknown thieves took away electricity wire worth thousands of rupees from village Vinni. Reportedly, some unknown thieves cut and took away electricity wire worth Rs 300,000 last night during load shedding. As a result, electricity supply was suspended to many villages.
