Be patient, change of faces won’t make any difference: PM

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Tuesday asked the nation to observe patience for the resolution of their issues, saying that a mere change of faces at the top could not bring about the desired results and only collective efforts could get the country out of the present crises. Addressing participants of the third international IPR conference 2011 at the Convention Centre, Gilani invited all political parties to get together and devise a collective strategy in resolving the crisis situation faced by the country, adding that one party alone could not do anything to resolve the issues.
“The nation should observe patience to get their issues resolved. Those rejected by the people [in elections] are in a hurry [to takeover]. A mere change of face will not make any difference,” Gilani said. “We will overcome the power shortage. I am going to perform the foundation-laying of Bhasha Dam and Thar Coal projects soon which will help overcome load shedding. We have already installed 2,000 megawatts of power while another 2,000MW are in the pipeline,” he said.
