Advising the President

President Asif Ali Zardari should not misread the prevailing situation. Instead of concentrating on politics to safeguard his government by forming new alliances, he should pay attention to the masses’ discontent which is due to the prevailing high prices of food items, out of control inflation, shortage of electricity and gas and many others. Thousand of industries are closing down and workers are becoming jobless.

One cannot understand why the government is allowing the export of wheat and livestock to earn profit while the people are unable to purchase these items at affordable prices. The common man is not demanding the change of system, they just want some relief. The president needs to win the hearts of the people as well along with the politicians. The people want a leader who can provide jobs and necessities of life within their buying power. The majority of people are not interested in the system and don’t want to bring any bloody revolution. Their interest is that their children should have good education, health care and decent public transport and a sustainable health lifestyle.
