The Pakistan Army on Monday refuted media reports regarding contact between army chief General Ashfaq Kayani and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and called such news “unfounded” and “baseless”. A spokesman of the ISPR, in a statement, categorically denied a news item which appeared in the Times of London on April 23 regarding the chief of the army staff talking to the Indian prime minister through an unofficial envoy before the Mohali meeting with Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani. He said the news item was unfounded and totally baseless.
