The Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Syed Munawar Hasan and JI Secretary General Liaquat Baloch, have condemned the bomb blast in the bus of the Pakistan Navy in Karachi resulting in the death of a lady doctor and three navy officials. The JI leaders termed the incident ‘open terrorism’ and called for an official inquiry into the incident and punishment for the culprits. They offered condolences for the departed souls and prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
IRANIAN CONSUL GENERAL MEETS FORMER JI CHIEF: Iranian Consul General Muhammad Husain Asadi called on the former Jamaat-e-Islami chief Qazi Husain Ahmed at Mansoora on Tuesday and exchanged views with him on matters of bilateral interest. The two leaders underscored the need for greater exchange of delegations comprising religious scholars, traders and intellectuals between the two countries with a view to strengthen relations in trade and culture.
