To support the Japanese earthquake relief efforts, a small ceremony was held at the Japanese Consulate in Karachi. Indus Motors Company Chairman Ali S Habib presented a cheque of Rs 5.0 million to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society Chairman Sohail Wajahat. On the occasion, Consulate General of Japan Atsumi Chichoro was handed over the IMC employees contribution of Rs 0.54 million by the IMC CEO Parvez Ghias. IMC has also contributed Rs 100,000 to the Pakistan Japan Business Forum for the same cause. Expressing sentiments of IMC employees, Pervez stated that “no efforts can be of enough comfort for people who lost their loved ones; we pray and hope that the Japanese will overcome this tragedy to become an even stronger nation.”
