To celebrate Earth day, ICI Pakistan launched a tree plantation drive. The launch ceremony was held at the famous Canal Road. 15,000 trees were planted in various areas of Lahore such as Southern Bypass, road from Thokar Niaz Beg, Firdosi Road, Johar Town, Main Boulevard Johar Town to Shaukat Khanum Hospital, Khayaban-e-Jinnah, Raiwind Road, Main Road towards Raiwind, Canal Road, Walton Road and Ring Road.
This activity was done in collaboration with Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA). The launch ceremony was held with a strong attendance from employees of ICI Pakistan, along with members of PHA and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In the past three years, ICI Pakistan has planted 30,000 trees in and around Lahore.
