A 25-year-old man committed suicide in South Cantt police precincts on Monday. The victim was identified as Arif Masih, son of Allah Ditta, resident of Chechawatni. The police said that the man hung himself with a ceiling fan and committed suicide over an issue not known. The police have shifted the body to the morgue for autopsy.
MURDER?: A 57-year-old man was murdered allegedly by his neighbour in Green Town police precincts on Monday. The deceased was identified as Babu Barnard Gill, son of Lal Masih. The police said that the dispute started after children from Gill’s house and that of his neighbour started quarrelling with each other on a game they were playing on the street. Gill was manhandled in the dispute that started over a minor issue and since Gill was a heart patient, he possibly died of a cardiac arrest. Police have registered a murder case against the accused.
