Model Town Club and Sargodha Universiy earned their first win in the fourth edition of the National Women’s Football Club Championship. Striker Khadija struck 18th minute goal to power Model town outfit 1-0 win over Lahore Fighters at MTFA ground. While in Rawalpindi based group, Sargodha University recorded 16-0 win over Abbottabad’s Hazara Shaheen. It was the first win for Sargodha who earlier lost both their matches.
Earlier in the Karachi Phase, Diya FC bulldozed debutant Marta 22-0. It was the second huge win for Diya who earlier defeated TCS 11-0 on April 21. Later on in a match between two Young Rising Stars, Layyah lost to hot contender Rawalpindi 0-7. Meanwhile, Sports Sciences earned their second successive win after beating Lahore School of Economics 3-0 and LGS suffered 0-2 defeat at the hands of LUMS.
