Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Punjab President Ch Imtiaz Safdar Warraich has said the government and the army have consensus over all issues and conspirators would get nothing in their struggle of dividing these national pillars. While talking to various delegations of party workers on the other day, he said the government had overcome many crises and was trying to eradicate terrorism, unemployment, power outages and lawlessness.
“We were trying to extend maximum relief to the masses,” he said and added the PPP would get two-third majority in the coming elections for which the party workers should start their preparations.
380,000 METRIC TONS OF WHEAT TO BE PROCURED: The Punjab government will procure 380,000 metric tons of wheat in Gujranwala division for which 42 procurement centres have been established while the Punjab chief minister has directed the authorities to facilitate farmers at these centres. Gujranwala Commissioner Saeed Wahla said this while talking to farmers and the district administration during his visit to procurement centres at Pasrur and Daska.
Sialkot District Coordination Officer (DCO) Mujahid Sherdil, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Shakir Sandhu and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Asif Raza also accompanied him. The commissioner was told that special counters had been established at all centres where area patwaris would issue tokens for the collection of bags. He was also told that wheat with 10 percent moisture would be accommodated in accordance with the policy of the provincial government.
The commissioner advised the farmers to ensure minimum ratio of moisture in the wheat. Mujahid Sherdil briefed the commissioner that nine centres had been established in the district where target of 72,000 metric tons of wheat would be procured easily.
