An unidentified woman killed a newly born baby by throwing him out of the car near Sayedpur Stop at the main Multan Road in Iqbal Town Area on Sunday. Edhi foundations’ officials said the baby died immediately after his head struck the road. Edhi officials reached the scene and buried the minor in a local graveyard in Sabzazar. Police registered a case against the unknown woman and started searching for her.
SHOT DEAD: Liaqat Ali, 30, a resident of Bhogiwal China Scheme was shot dead by rival, Shahbaz in the Gujjarpura police precincts on Sunday.
The police Shahbaz developed a rivalry with Liaquat over petty issues about a year ago. Police arrested Liaquat whereas Shahbaz later forgave Liaqat after mediation by some nobles of the area and took a settlement of Rs 100,000. The police said that Liaqat had gotten released from the case few days back and was staying at a friend’s factory when Shahbaz along with his accomplices broke into the factory and opened straight fires on Liaqat while he was sleeping. The accused managed to escape. The police registered a case against Shahbaz and his accomplices on the complaint of deceased’s nephew Wasif Ali.
SUCCUMBS TO DEATH: Zohaib Asif, 4 , a resident of the Bhaati Gate Area, who was badly injured by unknown men in the Kahna police precincts a couple of days back, succumbed to his injuries in a local hospital on Sunday. The police said that Zohaib had gone with his father, Asif and mother to visit his native town in Kahna Area on last Saturday. The police said while Asif and his family were returning to their home late on the same day, some unknown men intercepted their way over which Asif showed resistance. The police said that the attackers tried to injure Asif but accidentally thrashed the Zohaib’s head with the pistol butt.
The attackers fled and Zohaib was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on the next day. Kahna police claimed that the deceased was killed by his three paternal uncles, Zafar, Shahid and Tariq who nursed a grudge against Asif over some property issues. Police registered a case against Asif’s brothers. KNOCKED DOWN: An unidentified speeding vehicle crushed an unidentified 24 years old man in the Barky police precincts on Sunday. The deceased was trying to cross the road when a speeding car coming from the opposite side knocked him down.
Some locals immediately informed the rescue officials who rushed the injured to a nearby hospital where the doctors announced him dead. Police started searching for the deceased’s relatives. SHOT INJURED: A man, Aslam shot injured his brother’s wife and her mother in the Gujjarpura police area over a domestic dispute on Sunday.
Lahore police assistant sub-inspector, Amjad who was on duty at the Governor’s House reported the police that his wife Shahida and her mother forbade his younger brother, Aslam from harassing Shahida’s younger sister over which he got infuriated and opened fire on Shahida and her mother. As a result they received bullet injuries while Aslam fled from the scene. Some locals rushed Shahida and her mother to a nearby hospital where the doctors announced them as stable. The police registered a case and started searching for Aslam.
