‘Korea to boost trade with Pakistan’

The Korean Ambassador to Pakistan Choi Chong Joo has said that his country would enhance its trade with Pakistan up to $1.5 billion. Korea is interested to invest in pharmaceutical and food processing, he said while talking to a delegation of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) in his office.
The delegation was led by RCCI President Syed Ali Raza Shah and Vice President Dr Shumail Dawood, while other executive members were also present. The Ambassador said that Korea is interested to boost trade relations with Pakistan besides investment in various sectors.
There is a great demand in Korean market regarding Pakistani products like textile, jewelry, vegetable and fruits, he added. Choi Chong said that there was a 238.80 percent increase in leather export to Korea from Pakistan last year which is a good sign. RCCI President Syed Ali Raza Shah said that both countries have good friendly relations, while Pakistan has great potential for investment.
