The City Traffic Police, during its drive against bogus, unauthorised, applied-for-registration and improper number plates, fined 5,824 vehicles in first three weeks of April, read a press release issued on Thursday. As many as 4,151 vehicles were fined for improper number plates, 792 for using plates mentioning ‘applied for registration’ while 881 were fined for using pressure horns.
