Pakistan has been facing many challenges since its independence. The economy is one of the major problems but what tops the list this year as well is security issues.
In such a time of turmoil, the police can play a major role to improve the current situation. It is also the duty of citizens to cooperate with the police. According to Transparency International’s 2010 Global Corruption Barometer, police has been ranked in the top three most corrupt institutions of Pakistan.
These are the same men who perform brilliantly when they are sent to UN peace missions. Let us not forget the hard work and lives of the policemen in the line of duty. Unless the citizens and police cooperate, the country cannot step towards peaceful times.
