Bridging the cultural gap

The first cultural events guide of Pakistan, Danka, after successfully completing 6 years of its existence in the local cultural scene has re-launched its activities today. The rebirth of this popular cultural portal is being hailed as the renaissance of an active cultural movement within the country. The ambitious initiative that started with a workforce of a few individuals at the Rafi Peer World Performing Arts Festival 2005, has come a long way from its humble beginnings. With the new web portal set to enthrall cultural organizers, artists and the general public alike, it has set its sights on bringing a cultural revolution.
“The new portal aims to provide individuals with a sustainable cultural networking tool offering visitors detailed and accurate information on all cultural events and activities happening across the country,” Matthias Gattermeier, an Austrian development coordinator said, adding that over 10,000 events had been announced already all over the country.
