MIRPUR KHAS – Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that he would not apologise to the apex court over contempt charges. Addressing a public rally in Nagarparkar district on Tuesday, Memon said the hanging of PPP founder was a judicial murder.
“The courts reinstated the Nawaz Sharif government, but the same court did not reinstated Benazir Bhutto’s government despite a formal request,” he said. He said the PPP was a democratic party that gave the country its constitution and gave sacrifices for the promotion of democratic thinking.
Memon said some people were hatching conspiracies against Sindh and Pakistan, but they would be unsuccessful. The provincial minister said the present government took various measures to restore law and order to Sindh, in which former home minister Zulfiqar Mirza launched a successful operation against target killers, suicide attackers and other anti-social elements.
He said that those demanding the imposition of agriculture tax wanted to raise the prices of general commodities.
