Iqbal’s death anniversary to be marked

LAHORE – A special ceremony, presided over by Markaziya-Majils-e-Iqbal Mian President Afzal Hayat, to mark Allama Iqbal’s death anniversary will be held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal at 2:30pm on Thursday. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, former federal minister Babar Awan, Muslim League-Likeminded leader Humayun Akhtar Khan and Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Farooq Sattar will be the guests of honour.
The ceremony will be addressed by Dr Raheeq Abbasi, Sunni Tehreek’s Shahid Gauri, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid’s parliamentary leader Chaudry Zaheer-ud-deen, specialist on Iqbaliyat Syed Iqraam Iqraam, senior journalist Mujeeb-ur-rehmaan Shami, Nusrat Mirza and Sajad Mir.
