Sale of unhygienic food on the rise in Daska

DASKA – Stall holders are selling unhygienic food which is causing abdominal diseases among the residents of Daska, Sambriali, Pasrur and Sialkot while food inspectors have turned a blind eye towards the situation. With the advent of summer season, the stalls of golas, ice creams and other eatables have been set up on roadsides and outside the schools. These stall holders sell substandard and unhygienic food items which cause diseases among the residents while the food inspectors take bribes from them and, in return for it, they do not act against them. The residents have demanded the high authorities take notice of the situation and ensure elimination of unhygienic food’s sale.
VALUABLES LOOTED, POLICEMEN hurt IN SEPARATE INCIDENTS: Dacoits looted cash, mobile phones and other valuables and injured two policemen over resistance in separate incidents. In the first incident, three friends Muhammad, Imran and Sanaullah were going to Satra when dacoits stopped them at gunpoint and snatched Rs 15,000, a mobile phone and other valuables from them. In the second incident, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Muhammad Riaz and Constable Shahid Iqbal were on their way home after finishing their duty when two armed dacoits intercepted them and snatched Rs 3,600 and a mobiles from them. The dacoits opened fire and injured the policemen when they tried to chase them.
FOUR WOMEN ABDUCTED: At least six accused abducted four women in separate incidents. In the first incident, Amanat Ali was sleeping with the other members of his family when Muhammad Riaz, Gul and their two unknown accomplices entered his home, abducted his three daughters at gunpoint and took them to some unknown place. In the second incident, accused Fayyaz and his friend abducted the daughter of Sajjad.
FIVE PROCLAIMED OFFENDERS ARRESTED: Daska circle police have arrested five proclaimed offenders from different places. These proclaimed offenders are Muhammad Boota, Farooq Khan, Muhammad Waheed, Muhammad Arif and Naveed Ahmed who were involved in many heinous crimes while the police were in search of them.
CASH, VALUABLES LOOTED: Dacoits looted cash, mobile phones and a motorcycle in separate incidents.
In the first incident, Atif Cheema was on his way home after drawing cash from the bank when two dacoits intercepted him, looted Rs 42,000 and decamped.
In the second incident, two friends were on their way after finishing their work when four dacoits stopped them, snatched their motorcycle, mobile phones and Rs 6,000 from them and fled away.
TWO KILLED IN ROAD ACCIDENTS: At least two people were killed and a girl was injured in separate road accidents in the area of Motra Police Station. In the first incident, a 16-year-old boy was going to school on his bicycle. When he reached near Lakra Kalan, a speedy tractor-trailer hit him and killed him instantly. In the second incident, two sisters, 10-year-old Anum and 7-year-old Rabia, residents of Addha, were crossing the road when a speedy tractor-trailer ran them over. As a result, Anum was killed instantly while her sister was serious y injured.
